Jocelyn Li joins the Parrsboro Creative Team
Meet our new Executive Director
The Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that Jocelyn Li will be taking on the role of Executive Director of Parrsboro Creative. She takes over the position at a time when Parrsboro Creative is entering a new and exciting era in its role as an established leader in the cultural economy of Cumberland County and the province of Nova Scotia.
Ms. Li graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Jewellery Design & Metalsmithing (in 2013?) and has since then been an administrative part of many arts organizations in both Halifax and Toronto including Craft Nova Scotia, Keep Six Contemporary Arts, and Artscape Daniels Launchpad. She is an accomplished metalsmith in silver and gold, and has her eyes set on blacksmithing! In her own words, “I am thrilled to be joining the community with such a robust line-up of educational programs and cultural events that I will be delivering on behalf of Parrsboro Creative. I look forward to immersing myself in all the potential, collaborative projects that I’m raring to do! To be in this position is both an honour and an absolute delight.”
Michael Fuller, Chair of Parrsboro Creative, adds, “Jocelyn’s eagerness and excitement to be a part of our team is infectious: a shot in the arm at just the right time. I believe her youth and commitment will enable us to develop and accomplish our vision in wonderful ways.”
Ms. Li will assume her position mid-November, at which time, there will be an informal celebratory event to introduce her to our community of supporters, sponsors, and cultural and funding partners.
