I prefer to paint landscapes without human alteration. When I paint in plein air, I try to find places near the water so I can catch fish while I’m painting.

Adam received his BFA from the University of British Columbia and worked as an assistant to a sculptor in Toronto before moving back to Nova Scotia. He teaches drawing and painting at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish.

  • I was selected as a participant in the 2018 Parrsboro Artist in Residence program.
  • I have been invited to become a featured artist at The West Fine Art Show, Cloverdale Rodeo May 16th through the 20th, 2019. The Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair began in 1888, and has been held annually ever since.
  • My painting “Wildflowers IV” was selected to be one of twelve paintings featured in the Federation of Canadian Artists 2019 Calendar.
