Mary Ann Brunelle
Mary Ann Brunelle
I began painting in Alberta in my early teens and continued in oils for many years. I now work primarily in watercolours and acrylics. I moved to Nova Scotia in my early twenties and lived, worked and raised my children on the beautiful South Shore. A retired registered nurse I have taken advantage of many workshops and classes over the years and have exhibited and sold paintings at the Shoreline Gallery, Lunenburg Art Gallery, King’s Historical Society, The Green Bay Group, Jack’s Gallery and Gallery 360 in Wolfville, ARTAC in Annapolis Royal, and The Artist’s Circle Art Shack Gallery in Margaretsville as well as in shows of the Evangeline Artists Coop. For many years, I painted in Lunenburg’s Paint Sea on Site and more recently in Annapolis Royal’s Paint the Town. I have enjoyed painting en plein air with both the Lunenburg County and Kings County plein air groups and enjoyed painting weekly with the South Shore Portrait Group for several years.
I followed my children and grandchildren to the Annapolis Valley in 2019 and love painting the people, seascapes, landscapes and big skies of the valley. I most especially enjoy painting en plein air wherever I am.
Mary’s exhibition will ended on September 29th, 2024
