Biography

Originally from North Bay Ontario, Karen has always enjoyed exploring her community on foot or bicycle.

As she travels around her home in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia she has a desire to record the local scenes that present themselves.

As a long-time member of the Urban Sketchers Waterloo Region, Karen has sketched and exhibited throughout the Waterloo region and more recently at Art Lab in Parrsboro NS.

Her background as a graphic artist lends itself well to Karen’s use of strong and vivid colours, giving her paintings, sketches, and more recently rug hooking a unique character which has become such a well-loved part of her work.

Her approach is always well-received as is evident in the feedback from her participation in various displays and exhibitions over the years.
