PC has something to offer for everyone this summer

PARRSBORO, N.S. —

As the phases of Nova Scotia’s Reopening Plan progress, we are all lighting up with enthusiasm for opportunities to connect with others and be creative. Parrsboro Creative has been busy preparing a multitude of exciting programs and events to help you get involved in our vibrant artistic community this season.

June

We are proud to announce Featured Artist Profiles: an opportunity for our local artists in Cumberland County to hold digital space, showcase their talent, and (if they’d like) sell their work through our online platform. Each artist will be featured for a two-week period, and then move into an archive that will remain visible to the public. PC Member artists and those local to Parrsboro and the surrounding area will be prioritized. Applications opened in June and are ongoing. Apply here!

In late May and early June we welcomed two new members to the Parrsboro Creative team. Come by the office Monday-Friday, between 10am-5pm to meet our new program coordinator and administrative assistant. Stephanie and Cassia will smile behind their masks in welcome.

Our 2021 Artists-in-Residence will be working among us for 2-4 week periods, sharing their process with the community.

The Artist-in-Residence program is back! This August and September, artists will grace Art Lab’s studio for 2-4 week periods to work intensively on their creative projects, interact with the community, and share their artistic growth at the end of their stay. If you are interested in having provided studio space and accommodations as well as a weekly stipend, wait no longer to express your interest here. There is nothing so gratifying as stretching the creative mind along the beautiful Parrsboro shores.
